In the railway industry, a proposed technology that would allow mobile platforms to move alongside high-speed trains and "dock," much like shuttle craft docking with a space station, thus allowing passengers to disembark at intermediate stops without slowing down the train. The moving platform would then ferry passengers to the local station.
