light-cabin. adj. A somewhat flexible designation for a small executive or corporate jet, based on a combination of passenger capacity, range, and maximum speed. While the precise definition varies from manufacturer to manufacturer, a typical light cabin jet will hold seven passengers, have a range of about 1,600 to 2,000 square miles and a maximum speed of about 500 miles per hour.
