full-body pat-down. An invasive form of screening in which a screener uses his or her hands to search a passenger at a screening point. The procedure includes firm and direct contact with the passenger's breasts and genital areas; it is used when a passenger declines to use a body imagining machine or otherwise comes under suspicion by the TSA.
